Cloud-Based Storage

Built around a powerful hosted enterprise content management platform from IBM, SirruX sxCLOUD enables you to store and manage all of your documents in the cloud. Whether it's an AutoCAD drawing, an Office document, a PDF, whatever..., your document can be retrieved, reviewed, marked-up or printed from virtually any device anywhere via the internet. Using sxCLOUD, the entire internet becomes your organization's secure WAN enabling not only you but also your field personnel, remote office clients, partners and customers to collaboratively work together on documents without the need to print/route, e-mail or FTP.

Web-Based Markup & Collaboration

SirruX sxCLOUD comes with a very powerful web-based universal document viewer and markup solution enabling any client to view, non-destructively markup and print virtually any managed document, regardless of format, from any HTML5-compliant web browser. Whether you're using a PC workstation, Mac desktop, laptop, MacBook, iPad, iPhone, et al, you can view, markup and print from anywhere you have web access.

Ever save that document to the file you've been editing only to realize that made a mistake and want to go back to the old one? Oops! You stepped on it when you last saved the document - the original is gone... With modern content management systems, the concept of automatic versioning comes into play. When you save an in-work document using sxCLOUD, the document is checked-back into the SirruX cloud and assigned a new minor version number. The old version still exists and you can still access it if needed. Once changes to a document are complete and the result is deemed "production worthy", a new major version number is assigned to the document signifying that it is the latest released version of the document (i.e. not in-work). Since all document versions in the SirruX cloud repository are subject to security rules, the system can be configured to only allow designated users to be able to access minor versions of a document - others see only the latest released or major version. This approach encourages authors/editors of a document to always save their work into the system even when it is still a work in progress without fear that others will be able to access an unfinished document.

All access to the SirruX cloud repository is performed over a secure, encrypted SSL connection. Users who have been granted access to the system are assigned "roles" by their administrator granting them specific access control. All documents in the repository are subject to version-level security enabling administrators to have the granularity to designate not only which documents a user may access but even which versions of a document they may access. This degree of control provides organizations with a high level of flexibility enabling them to configure the sxCLOUD system to their specific needs.

Cost Savings

What are the advantages to adopting a hosted content management solution for your organization?  The list is long but here are some of the key points to consider:

Lower cost of entry - operational cost vs capital expenditure

With SirruX sxCLOUD, there is no need to allocate and maintain computing resources and space as you would for an on-premises solution. With no commitment for purchasing software and hardware, capital budgeting and expenditures is reduced.

Reduced time to benefit

Since sxCLOUD is "ready-to-go" from the start, there isn't the protracted deployment phase usually associated with implementing a new application platform.

Pay as you go

When you allocate capital for a new software/hardware solution, you inherently assume a significant up-front risk associated with deploying a new solution. With sxCLOUD however, your risk footprint is minimized as you can easily deploy in a phased approach, scaling upwards as necessary. If the solution proves not to be a good fit for your organization, simply stop the subscription. With a conventional on-premises solution, you're stuck...
